An outdoor sports fanatic and nature lover, Trey is the embodiment of an Athlete of the Month. He’s all about fitness and has competed in men’s boxing and powerlifting. Trey loves TA for providing considered pieces for athletes and fitness lovers. His biggest challenge came when COVID took away work opportunities. But like a true Athlete, he bettered himself by starting his own business.

What are your hobbies and passions?

I love fishing, hunting, and hiking. Pretty much any activity where I can be outdoors. It gives me that feeling of a deeper connection to God and nature. I love meditation and reading. Plus, I’m a sucker for places with stunning views - from wineries in the middle of nowhere to rooftop restaurants in cities. I love different forms of fitness and have competed in boxing, men’s physique, and powerlifting.

What’s the biggest challenge you’ve faced recently?

I lost a lot of work due to COVID, that was really tough. But I wouldn’t take it back for anything. When you’re low on money and faith, it forces you to trust God and tap into your creativity. The low points teach you so much about who you are and help you to realize what is important. For me, my low point pushed me to start my own business. The process was hard, but it has been the most rewarding work I have ever done.

My go-to book right now is ‘Kingdom Man’ by Tony Evans. I listen to sermons from Steven Furtick and Tony Evans quite frequently
